“On Average, college students earn $1 Million more over their lifetime than a high school graduate.” CollegeScoreCard.ed.gov.

College is an expensive venture but something that is also needed. Whether it’s getting a 2-year degree, a 4-year degree or even going to a trade school, continuing your education after high school is important for you to do. Most of the jobs today require some type of degree to get your foot in the door. So it’s important to look at the opportunities that are available to you.

College Score Card is a website that is funded by the U.S. Department of Education. This website allows you to compare school for things such as major, locations and even the graduation rate and the average salary after attending that school.

It’s important to do your homework and research when it comes to finding the best college for yourself.GettyImages-537545846.jpg

College Tuitions and more

Another thing that is very important to research when starting college and even throughout your college years is financial aid and scholarships. College is an expensive venture and there are tons of cost that most don’t take into account such as lab fees, textbook fees, student activity fees and even student ID replacement fees. So try and hold on to those Student Ids.

Having college scholarships and financial aid can help relieve some of the burdens college expenses and allow you to really focus on enjoying the college experience.

There are tons of scholarships available to you, you just have to do the research. Talk to your high school guidance counselor or your college financial aid department and ask questions. Apply for every scholarship you can get your hands on because you never know what the outcome can be.

We here at Tropical Financial want to help you enjoy your college experience. That’s why we are awarding 5 students a $1,000 college scholarship.

This scholarship can be used to pay for textbooks, cover that lab fee you encounter and even help cut down the cost of tuition.

Trust me, every little bit counts when attending college.

Our scholarship application period is open from January 9th, 2017 to March 3rd, 2017. Don’t miss out on your chance at $1,000.
