Everyone at Tropical Financial Credit Union offers thanks to our members, partners and community. Service to our communities is at the core of our ethics, and through 2025, we have been privileged to support nonprofit organizations and meaningful causes across South Florida and beyond.
This year began with Tropical Financial joining forces with the American Red Cross to assist those impacted by the devastating California wildfires in January. Our participation reflected our culture of helping people, and we are proud to have contributed to the support and recovery efforts for those who suffered from this tragic event.
Close to home, in February, we supported the Humane Society of Broward County’s VCA Walk for the Animals, championing care and safety for pets. Through our sponsorship with the Florida Panthers, we recognized community hero Layla Crehan, who embodies the spirit of service, with our Community Hero award.
The following month, Tropical Financial proudly participated in the Autism Walk, raising awareness and hope, and joined the Red Cross’s "Sound the Alarm" initiative focused on fire safety and prevention in vulnerable communities.
As part of our commitment to our members’ communities, from April through May, we awarded scholarships to talented students Alexander Rodriguez, Vegas Burnett, and Aileen De Freitas, investing in their futures and preparing them to be leaders of tomorrow.
In July, our involvement in the Kiwanis Florida Division’s Christmas, spreading joy and support to families during the summer months.
Our global and local relief efforts this month extended to Jamaican residents through our participation in the Local 10 News Day of Giving, shopping, and donating food to a local food bank. We also served as a presenting partner for the FTL Cares Ticket Donation Initiative, helping to bring entertainment and joy to those in need.
Looking ahead to December, we will participate in the WPLG Big Bus Toy Express. The program brings holiday cheer to children across the region.
At Tropical Financial Credit Union, we are deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve these vital nonprofits and the broader community. As we reflect on the past year, we are inspired by the resilience and generosity of those we serve alongside. We give thanks for all they do to help those in need and recognize those who have contributed so much to our community.
This Thanksgiving week, we extend our warmest thanks to every credit union member, partner, and employee who makes our service and giving possible. May this holiday season be filled with peace, joy, and the spirit of gratitude.
