Tropical Financial Credit Union congratulates high school seniors who have been admitted to college and offers them, as well as adult learners, the opportunity to win $10,000 in scholarships.

“We recognize that higher education has become a financial challenge for many deserving students,” said Rick Shaw, president and CEO. “We at Tropical Financial Credit Union are doing our part to help make their dream of a college or graduate degree a reality.”

Three students will be selected to receive financial support. One will receive a grand prize scholarship of $5,000 and two awards of $2,500 each.

High school seniors planning to attend college and adult learners pursuing a college or master’s degree can apply between May 18 and May 29. They must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher and be members of Tropical Financial Credit Union. Becoming a member is easy, the application process is quick and you can open a checking account and apply right away.

This year, Tropical Financial is offering applicants two submission options: a video or an essay. Both should be centered around the question: How has Tropical Financial helped you on your financial journey?

Video submissions should be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes and the essay must be a maximum of 500 words. To apply and also learn how to become a credit union member, click here.
